Two people died of injuries sustained in a grenade blast that rocked the Rwandan capital last week after incumbent Paul Kagame was declared winner of presidential elections, police said Wednesday.
Seven people were seriously injured when an attacker threw a grenade in Kigali's main bus station on the evening of August 11.
"The incident... seriously injured seven people who were admitted (to hospital) where now two people have lost their lives," a statement said.
The latest deaths bring to five those who have been killed in grenade attacks since the beginning of the year, police said.
At the weekend, the army said it had discovered a network of those behind the grenade attacks, but did not give any names.
